About
Saran Walker grew up in Portland, Oregon with her mother, an artist, and her father, a computer scientist. Synthesizing her parents' influences into a passion for technology-based art, she enjoys experimenting with digital media as well as pursuing traditional artistic mediums. In 2015, Saran graduated with a B.A. in Creative Writing from Willamette University, where she won several awards for her work in the English department. She also served as editor-in-chief of the university's literary journal, Chrysalis. In 2016, she finished her master's degree in Design & Digital Media at the University of Edinburgh, where she started developing video games with a small team called Offensive Magenta Games. She was a writer at Pixelberry Studios from 2016-23, and currently works as Story Director at Tactile Games in Copenhagen, Denmark. She learned to sew in 2009 and has designed and constructed her own clothes ever since. When not creating, Saran enjoys playing bass guitar, learning Scottish Gaelic, and making terrible puns. |
