Pixelberry Studios is one of several game companies who have joined the United Nations' Playing for the Planet Alliance with the aim of making video games that educate players about climate change. In 2020, we participated in our first UN-organized Green Game Jam and began developing Rising Tides. I served as creative lead and lead writer.

In Rising Tides, you play as a young woman whose coastal hometown is struck by a mass die-off of fish that threatens your family's fishing business. But when your younger sister, Charlie, tries to raise awareness about climate change as a possible cause for the disaster, she incurs the wrath of a large corporation who wants her silenced. You go toe-to-toe with detractors while trying to save your town from environmental destruction.

Our game, along with other Green Game Jam submissions, was featured at the UN Biodiversity Summit in September 2020.

Rising Tides is featured in the Choices app, available for download in the App Store and Google Play.
